Cruise Ship NOORDAM Docks in Sihanoukville, Welcoming Over 2,000 Tourists for a One-Day Visit

Sihanoukville: On Friday, December 27, 2024, the cruise ship NOORDAM from the Netherlands made a scheduled stop at the Cambodian port of Sihanoukville, arriving at 7:30 a.m. The vessel, measuring 285.43 meters in length, 32.25 meters in width, and 8 meters in depth, brought a vibrant mix of tourists and crew members to the region for a one-day visit after departing from Thailand.

Onboard the NOORDAM were 2,009 tourists, including 1,072 women, representing 50 different nationalities. Notably, the largest groups of passengers hailed from the United States (614), Australia (429), and Canada (179). Alongside them were 769 crew members, of whom 141 were female and representing 37 nationalities.

The cruise ship's visit highlights Cambodia's growing appeal as a cruise destination in Southeast Asia. Tourists have the opportunity to explore the cultural and natural attractions of Sihanoukville before the NOORDAM continues its journey, scheduled to depart for Vietnam at 9:00 p.m. on the same day. 

This visit is part of a broader trend of increasing cruise ship arrivals in Cambodia, reflecting the country's potential in tourism and the cruise industry. Local businesses and tour operators are keen to welcome these visitors, providing them with experiences that showcase Cambodia's rich heritage and stunning landscapes.
